Matt Barr

Matt Barr, 33, is from Manchester in England and did his first snowboard season straight after finishing a degree in English Literature at the University of Sheffield. He went on to become Senior Editor of White Lines Snowboarding Magazine before co-founding ACM in 1999, giving him the freedom to explore the world. As a journalist Matt is happiest going off the beaten track, and his dispatches from some of the world's more unusual corners (recent trips have included Iran, Russia, Uzbekistan and Lebanon) makes him a favourite among the UK’s more discerning national travel editors. In the last year, he helmed our recent Skiing The World project, worked with the Ski Club of Great Britain on their on-line content and consulted for blue chip ad agency Ogilvy. Matt also contributes to a wide, wide range of worldwide media clients from the Times to Transworld Snowboarding.

ACM are always a great resource for ideas, the boys know their specialist areas inside out and deliver consistently excellent copy. Matt looks pretty damn good in Speedos, too.
