Matt Barr

Matt Barr is from Manchester in England and did his first snowboard season straight after finishing a degree in English Literature at the University of Sheffield. He went on to become Senior Editor of White Lines Snowboarding Magazine before co-founding ACM in 1999, giving him the freedom to explore the world. As a journalist Matt is happiest going off the beaten track, and his dispatches from some of the world's more unusual corners (recent trips have included Iran, Russia, Uzbekistan and Lebanon) makes him a favourite among the UK’s more discerning national travel editors. In the last year, he worked on a huge copywriting project with our friends at Thomson, worked with the Ski Club of Great Britain on their on-line content and continued to contribute to a wide, wide range of worldwide media clients from the Times to Transworld Snowboarding.

I am obviously biased, but in my opinion ACM are the best freelance journalists working in North East Brighton today. There's only one piece of theirs I've read that didn't make me laugh out loud - it was about homeless people, and I cried.
