The Independent ran this light-hearted feature on American ski resorts that still pack a punch. We went from Silverton in Colorado to the wilds of Alyeska in Alaska - not a place to hitch-hike to if you're nursing a frozen tongue.ACM are massively credible because whether it's surfing, mountain biking, snowboarding or, er, speedflying, they've been out, done it and then written about it in an engaging and interesting way.
